Surprise! Escaped is no longer a novella, and it’s officially the longest book I’ve ever written. A couple of side characters stepped up and added delicious layers to my original plot, and the tension keeps building.

How’s it getting written? Slowly. Between the day job, the massive commute, and homework help after dinner (ugh), weeknights are gone, and I’d like to keep the rest of my time for my kids.

Accepting weekend-only writing was a fight, but the mindset shift has been huge.

So Saturday and Sunday mornings are for writing, and the door stays shut (grateful to finally have an office door!) to make sure that happens. 

Behind it, Kyra’s world is getting darker in all the right ways. No spoilers, but if you’ve read Burned, you know she doesn’t stay in Wyoming on the ranch.

What makes her leave? The answer is a doozy!

I have a release date in mind and a clear plan to get there, but the preorder stays under wraps for now.
